Although smoked, this is a wonderfully delicate smoky aroma, whose purpose is to complement the natural sweetness of the tea. On the pallet, one can expect the fruity, peachy and slightly nutty tones inherent in this tea, with a very delicate initial hint of smoke and a dark gold colour. The smoked salmon note comes through strongly but the white tea taste is robust enough to come through on its own as well. The tea has both sweet and savoury notes which are typically quite difficult to balance. Mouthfeel is medium. Sweetness is soft and dull on the sip but had a sharper edge at the back of the throat.
