It’s good but not all I was hoping for. I love chocolate and I love cherry, although I have yet to find either in a tea form that I adore. This is a nice smooth black base, and the chocolate flavor is present more in the aftertaste to me. The cherry is more of a fragrance than a flavor, but it’s there and it’s cherry as opposed to medicine. I wonder if part of the problem is that I bought this in a gift pack, so it was prepacked and sealed – that may be more likely to be a bit old and I’d bet cherry is somewhat volatile. Just musing, though. All in all, a nice solid and enjoyable cup with a sweetness to it, but not deserving of exclamation points in the name. :)

This mornings cuppa, and there is just too much chocolate in this particular brewing.
I just never can figure out chocolate teas….

Dustin

Chocolate teas are kinda hit or miss for me.

Loose leaf smells like boozed up cherry cough syrup. After 30 seconds and delicate teaspoons, it tastes like an overly astringent Irish Breakfast soaked in cough syrup. With cream and sugar, it tastes like a cherry tea latte from a high end cafe.

In short: only a dessert tea that requires condiments. Without them, impossible for me to drink. My mom loves it with cream and sugar, but for a type one diabetic whose diet consists half of leaf water, this is a bad idea.

Backlogging—This has a really strong cherry smell as dry leaf, but the taste isn’t overpowering. A bit sweet, not as chocolatey as the other chocolate flavored blacks so I didn’t re-buy, but was pleasant. Not out of the question for a future reorder.

Added 1t sugar. It doesn’t screen chocolate or cherry to me, but it had a very pleasant liquor-ish flavor.
