From The Tao of Tea

Ginger Peach is a blend of fine black tea, organic dried ginger, calendula (marigold) flower petals and natural peach essence. Together, they blend to make a refreshing tea that can be enjoyed either warm or iced. Native to China and India, Peach has its roots in Persia, Greece and Spain. In the 16th century, it became cultivated in America. Peaches are low in calories and a good source of healthy carbohydrates. We use dried ginger root with mildly spicy flavor undertones to balance the sweet lushness of peach in this blend. Ginger is known to be a good remedy for digestive problems.

Flavor Profile: Sweet, rich and smooth taste. Full-bodied brew with little or no astringency.

Ingredients: Black Tea Leaves, Natural Peach Essence, Organic Ginger, Calendula Petals.

This was a perfect treat for me this morning. My stomach is not always reliable these days, with pregnancy food aversions and queasiness coming and going constantly…but I still need my daily cup of tea and this was quite a soothing choice. I’ve been enjoying several ginger teas the last few months, including ginger rooibos and ginger pu-erh, my go-to tummy helpers, but I’m glad to try something new and fruity!

This has all the elements I could ask for right now: nice dark black tea to get me going, combined with a lovely light peach flavor and warm ginger. I like how the ginger isn’t too spicy or strong in this tea. It works really well with the sweet peach. Smooth, soothing, warm, mellow and bright—this is very good! I am glad I have enough to last until my baby is born!

Just read some nice info about a micronutrient that is healthy for pregnancies and is best had from tea, as 85% of it comes through in the beverage. Starts with an “R”? It is an element.

Delicious with mysterious (because I don’t think there’s any in there) notes of coconut. The ginger takes a back seat so it isn’t very spicy, but outstandingly smooth.

This tea was a nice golden brown with the aroma of ginger, heh, and also some light citrus notes. On the tongue this is a pleasant non tannic tea, it has a light tart taste on the tongue and is very easy drinking. This is my first steeping of this tea, usually light teas like this don’t hold up as well to multiple steepings. So we shall see. A great second tea in the August steepster box.
