From The Republic of Tea

Tea For Wisdom. The soft taste and sweet aroma of fresh blackberries is experienced with the first sip of this fruity tea. A subtle undertone of cool white sage adds a balanced finish. Wonderful iced.

This tea is a fruity black tea that is blended with herbs. Once I opened the can, all I could smell was the sage, quite surprisingly. The blackberries come in once you brew the tea, and spar well with the sage, creating a nice and mellow fruity tea. This is a great tea to be iced, because you can taste the natural sweetness of it, and the cold brings out the crisp sage even more. Overall a good tea. For fruity tea drinkers or black tea drinkers.

I was so happy to see a decaf version of this lovely tea! Blackberry Sage has been a favorite for years, but the black tea had a little too much caffeine for me to drink in the afternoon or evening. I can happily sip this delicious tea any time of day now.

This tea continues to deliver! When I’m sick or well, when it’s hot or cold. I’m glad I picked it up.

This is one of my decaf favorites, both hot and iced. Because of the blackberries, the iced >tastes< like summer. This tea can be re-steeped several times because it is quite strong. #tea

Here’s Hoping Traveling Teabox Round #3 – Tea #3
Wow, this is a surprise from RoT. I like this one! Somehow this is an agreeable decaf. I couldn’t even tell – the black tea doesn’t have a lot of flavor but it also doesn’t have an odd flavor. I’m suspicious that it actually IS decaf… I wish whomever added it to the teabox could confirm! Maybe it was mislabeled? The blackberry flavor is full and ripe. If it’s artificial, I don’t care. It’s delicious. I sipped this with some strawberry &blueberry shortcake (that was my dinner). I REALLY like blackberry shortcake so the tea worked out well. Triple berry! I’m glad I gave this one a try.
Steep #1 // just boiled // 4-5 min

I’m pretty sure it was me, but I’d have to check the thread to be sure. If so, it is indeed decaf. :)

This is from the Travelling Tea Box round 2 and this is the first tea that i decided to drink from this round. I chose to drink this tea because I really enjoyed the caffeinated version that was in the box during the last round. I was excited to compare how it tasted and everything. I have not finished tasting teas from the first round, but I just to try at least one tea from the second round to wet my appetite.

I had this tea on March 27/2014

Dry leaf: As the tea is bagged, I could not see the leaves, but this tea had the same sweet scent that the caf version had. Very berry-licious was my reaction :)

Steeped: The water is dark and amber just like the caf version was and the berry-licious scent has remained after pouring the hot water on the bag. And the taste was also very berry, much like the caf version. This tea is good in my books decaf or not, basically I can enjoy this tea at any moment in the day.

From the Caffeine-Free/Decaf Traveling Tea Box.

I was excited to try this one because Republic of Tea’s more favorable blends, and blackberry and sage combination intrigued me. A delicious fruity tea – the blackberry does so well in both the aroma and the taste of the liquor. (It does come off as artificial, but I was fine with this). The malty black tea base is subtle but comes through enough. It’s paired well with the blackberry. I don’t I think that I could taste any sage, though.
