From The Republic of Tea

The Warmth of the Season.

Cinnamon and cloves are the shining stars of this blend. Wrap your hands around a cup that will surely put you in the mood for celebration. Fine black tea leaves create a substantial base for this spicy infusion, while apples and just a hint of licorice sweeten each sip.

A spicy holiday blend available in natural, round, unbleached tea bags.

Like a lot of people, I received this as a sample. I enjoyed the flavor and thought it was a very good holiday blend.

This tea fell short of my expectations. It smells great in the tin, but when you brew it the flavor is kind of like a watered down “red hot”… (those little red cinammon candies).
So I’d rate this tea as “meh”
Gave it away.

Got this as a free sample in the mail. All I can say is I won’t be buying this tea. It is very bland. I was quite surprised because when I think of holiday teas I think spice and flavor; both of which I did not get from this tea.

Nice licorice flavor. Could be spicier. Second steep is thin.

Yet another free sample from The Republic of Tea! I’ve gotta be honest, I saw the words licorice root in the ingredients, and was immediately apprehensive. Not a big licorice fan. But it was free, and it smelled pretty nice in the sachet, so what the hell! Once I’d steeped it for five minutes, and added some sweetener, I was still a little concerned. However, after I added a bit of milk, I was pleasantly surprised! I bit on the fruity side with a lovely blend of spices! I like it! I might even order some at some point!

I like this tea for the holidays. The licorice in this gives it a much more “comforting” vibe to me than your standard spiced tea, which in my experience limits itself to orange and cinnamon, possibly apple. I enjoy this one with a splash of almond milk and, when I accidentally brew it too long, a flat spoon of sugar.

This tastes like cider, not tea! Not unpleasant, but a little too overspiced for my taste. Still, it was a free sample and that is nice.

I have to concur with previous reviewers—this tea has a nice smell but lacks the flavor to match. It’s not that it tastes bad, it’s just very weak. Meh. At least it was a free sample.

Sipped it at first with no milk, it was nice, but the directions said to add a little milk, I will keep this tea around for the holiday season, but like it says on the lid “when it’s gone it’s gone”.
