Hmm, not too much dancing going on for me. It’s got a hint of sweetness and chlorophyll as it cools, but mostly it is a bit of a flat, woody and somewhat boring taste. The saltiness I tend to get from Chinese greens isn’t overwhelming, but overall, I’m just not in love with this tea. It’s drinkable, but not necessarily desirable.

Sometimes it takes me several cups before I decide how I really feel about a tea, but this one hit me right from the first sip. Very clean green flavor.

Very apparent in this tea is the taste and scent of green beans. It has other subtle nutty qualities as well and seems to stray from the leafier end of the green spectrum to the dense vegetable side. There’s almost no bitterness. It’s pleasant, but really this is on the lower end of green tea quality, from my experience. That’s not to say people won’t like it, but this is one I wouldn’t buy more of. It has some taste similarities to Temple of Heaven gunpowder tea. It isn’t really the kind of flavor I look for in a green tea.

Produces a bright green colored great tasting tea. One of my favorite greens.

Nice flavor, great hot or over ice. Taste is similar to a mild Longjing and makes a great everyday tea. I buy it in bulk at Central Market and always keep some on hand.
