From The NecessiTeas

Oh, the aroma of banana and maple floating through the house… This oatmeal smelled so good simmering on the stove, I could hardly wait to eat it! And then I had that “Aha!” moment. Why not turn my breakfast into a big cup of morning deliciousness? This breakfast tea has all the yummy flavors of maple donuts mixed with banana bread and oatmeal cookies. Now, THAT is quite the combination!

Preperation Use 1 tsp per 8 oz boiling water, steep 5 minutes.

Ingredients Black tea, organic cinnamon chips, freeze dried bananas, organic brown sugar, organic gluten-free oats, natural and organic flavors.

I tried preparing this a lot of different ways throughout my 2 oz bag, and I think I liked it best at room temperature with sugar and soy milk. Oat milk covered up the banana too much, and skim milk just wasn’t quite right. My last cup or two have been the most pleasant of the bunch with a good amount of desserty banana showing up, though I can’t say that the oats in this blend add anything. The black tea itself is a bit weak, so I feel like it really needs the help.

Sipdown! (58 | 262)

I thought I’d tried this one before, but I haven’t written a note for it, so I must be thinking of another tea.

Anyway! I love the concept of this one – three things that I adore! And it’s fairly good, but perhaps a little bland for me. Then again, I have no idea how old this sample is since it was sent to me in a swap.

But the banana, maple, and oat are all there, and all tasting fairly natural. I feel like I get a hint of cinnamon as well? I’m not sure I would order this just because it’s a bit thin-tasting for me. But I enjoyed trying it!

Super strong banana scent in this one. Taste wise I’m not so sure about it. There is a slight bitterness I’m getting. The sip is a little bland and it isn’t until the finish that the banana comes out. I can just pick out the oatmeal part. I’m guessing this is another freshly blended tea that needs to sit a while and let the flavors marinate. I’ll have to circle back to it in a month.

The name of this one sounds so good! I don’t think I’ve had a tea with an oatmeal taste before.

AQ2T used to have some blends with oatmeal in them, but it isn’t a flavor or ingredient I feel like we come across often in tea.

Sipdown (601)!

Finished off as an oa tmilk latte with a bit of vanilla agave drizzled on top. Maybe not surprisingly, it just tasted like drinking oatmeal in liquid form, but sweeter. Needs more banana, for sure. Not sure I’ll miss this one.

Thanks for the share though, VariaTEA.

Another one from VariaTEA and i’m with her on this one. Do not like. I’ve come to realise that i always want more banana, but i also really don’t like “maple” flavours in teas. It never really tastes like maple and always has this artificial maple flavour. Will be passing this on to someone else to see if they can enjoy it more.

I had this before and didn’t like it. Then yesterday I made it as a latte with vanilla almond milk (since that’s what I use for my overnight oats) and I didn’t like it. It tastes like oatmeal and it has banana but something about just doesn’t sit right with me. I’ll maybe try it again but so far I’m not a fan.

AJRimmer Advent Day 23

I had forgotten that I tried this tea before! Enjoyed it just as much this time around…with a splash of milk, it’s a creamy dessert-like treat. A happy start to the last day before Christmas!

AJRimmer

Ah darn, I thought I double checked all the teas, but I guess this one slipped through! I’m glad it’s one you enjoy though!

Inkling

Oh goodness, that’s going above and beyond! I definitely wasn’t sad at all to have this one again. :)
