From The Little Red Cup Tea Co

Our Yunnan Black (滇紅茶) hails from Lincang, a stone’s throw from Burma and home to some of the oldest cultivated tea in the world. Hand picked and tightly rolled, the golden tipped leaves produce a deep amber brew — with light notes of grapes and honey. An instant classic.

A sample size of this tea was added to the ‘new to me’ tea bundle from Amanda, thanks! The dry leaf looks long and wiry, not a whole lot of golden tips here. On the whole I’d say this tea was smooth and average. Not that memorable, not a bad way to start the day. There is a bit of a roasty note here, but not all that sharp or interesting. While this cup is very smooth, I wouldn’t gravitate towards a purchase when there are better Yunnans out there.
