From The East India Company

Golden tips tea is a rare tea grown at altitude of 6000 feet near Adams peak in Sri Lanka.

They get their name from the reddish variety of the Camellia sinensis tea plant. Golden scissors are used to pick the buds in the morning before they unfurl in the heat of the sun. Golden tips make a wonderfully fragrant, sweet and flowery champagne coloured tea that provides a long and complex taste on the palate, prized amongst tea lovers and particularly rich in antioxidants.

Introductory cup of a sample I’ll eventually review at www.itsallabouttheleaf.com, so I won’t steal my own thunder, but I can’t help but declare I’ve finally found a white tea with some meat on its bones.
