This tea is originally broken from whole tea cakes. It has been kept in Hong Kong for over 20 years. The appropriate humidity and temperature in Hong Kong allows this tea to age faster than if this tea was kept in Vancouver. The dry leaves have changed to a darker brown color. Most leaves are very loose with some small tea chunks. The tea liquid is very clean with a deep reddish cherry amber color, infused with a comforting woody, earthy flavor. The tea tastes mellow and smooth with full-body, yet it is still quite active in mouth feel. After three infusions, the plummy taste comes to the forefront, and is entrenched with a sweet after taste. The energy from this tea is soft and comfortable. This is a wonderfully age tea for everyday drinking.
