From Tetley

Savour a medley of delicious flavours: the tantalizing taste of green tea, the zesty zing of lemons, and the hint of sweet honey. We add ginseng for its health benefits. The result is a tea that’s light, refreshing and good for you too. Garnish with a wedge of fresh lemon and serve.

This is my go-to tea when I’m having a bad day. It’s easy, it doesn’t require me to think or do anything special or even pay attention while I’m making it. I resteep it and it stays good. I think someone else described it as taking abuse well – and that’s be best way to describe it. I can use boiling water or water straight from my tap and it still does the job. It doesn’t have a particularly strong taste…but it’s warm and comforting. Better than some of the other Tetley varieties I’ve tried that seem to be bland without any redeeming qualities.

Not one of my favourite teas ever, but definitely one of my standbys.

I tend to abuse this tea, fill a travel mug with a teabag in, and keep on refilling it as the day goes on. Perhaps not the best way to enjoy the tea, and I should give it a proper tasting one of these days, but I can say that it holds up to the abuse quite well, and I enjoy it during my classes after it’s had time to well oversteep.

I went to visit my friend yesterday and this was her offering for an evening cup. I enjoyed it, it’s simple and unfussy. You can taste the green tea base and mostly lemon but I didn’t really get any of the honey. The lemon isn’t as citrussy as some of the other lemon teas that I’ve had, thanks to the ginseng element which tones it down a bit and makes it more smooth with its herbal flavour. No bitterness detected at all. For a cheaper, grocery store tea, this is a good option.

I have liked all the Tetley grocery-grade varieties I have tried. Their green/black blend is a staple in my office.

Jason

Agreed! They are surprisingly good!

Honey, lemon, ginseng is a nice combination with a green tea. I enjoyed the tea but I would have liked it even better if the lemon & honey flavor were more prominent.

Was really intruiged by this tea despite being a bagged green tea because the ingredients seemed so interesting. I made this crudely at work- mixed hot and cold water together so it wouldn’t burn the leaf, then bobbed the bag in my mug for less than 30 sec to get the flavor.

honestly, I’m just getting a cheap, green tea flavour from this tea. No lemon, honey or ginseng. I don’t think this tea is old either. Well, good news is I didn’t buy a whole container of this tea. It’s nothing special.

Sounds good :)

I used to drink this one back in my first year university dorm days. Happy memories! But yeah, nothing special. The Tetley Earl Grey Vanilla that comes in similar packaging holds many happy memories as well.

Totally understand the sentimentality:)

On a whim for ginseng, I decided to try this tea at first with a timid drop of added honey (a mixture of raw and buckwheat honey) and it has a delicate yet very full flavour. Coming in from the cold outside and it still being what I consider the morningtime; it’s a most perfect reviver!
