From Teavana

This French-inspired flavored oolong tea features luscious strawberries, pink rose buds, crisp rhubarb, white grapes, soft vanilla, and a hint of bubbly champagne. Deliciously romantic, it’s a sumptuous combination that sparkles on the palate, conjuring up dreamy days ambling along Épernay’s rolling vineyards and valleys.

Lush strawberry and soft rose sparkle in perfect balance alongside vibrant notes of white grape

Use 1-1.5 tsp of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to just before boiling (195 degrees/90 degrees Celsius) and steep for 3 minutes. For stronger flavor, use more tea leaves.

Ingredients: Oolong tea, apple pieces, grapes, candied pineapple pieces (pineapple, sugar, citric acid), natural and artificial flavoring, fennel, tangerine pieces (tangerine, cane sugar, citric acid), hibiscus flowers, rose hip peels, peach pieces (peach, rice flour), grape slices, anise seeds, juniper berries, orange juice pieces, rosebuds, liquorice root, star anise, rhubarb pieces, strawberry slices, grapefruit (grapefruit, glucose syrup, natural starch, sugar), peach pieces (peach, sugar), strawberry pieces, rose petals, vanilla pieces

After working at Teavana for a few years, this tea still is my favorite by far (fan since the name was “Strawberry Rose Champagne”). With rose-hip, rhubarb and a dash of champagne flavor this tea makes a wonderful dessert tea. Double bonus that it’s a tea that delivers such a light yet sweet taste without overpowering the delicate oolong flavor. If you haven’t tried this already, what are you waiting for?

This tea if made properly is truly exquisite, the only way I can describe it is like drinking the scent of a floral perfume or fragrant spring flowers. Very rosy and hyacinth -y if that makes any sense. I find it pairs well with lady fingers, shortbread biscuit, or a Citrusy biscotti .

Hmm.. I’m still not very impressed with Teavana tea. The only reason why I have so much is because of Starbucks :))
So happy for Starbucks rewards though! My friend told me that this was one of her favourite teas, but it was not the pricier side so she never gets it. I offered to get it for her for my next reward, and we can split it. I just wanted to try it! And so I’m drinking it today and it’s… okay? I taste so much artificial flavouring though. Or maybe it’s just the rose. I’m not the biggest fan of rose teas but Anna loves it!
Instead of splitting the tea, I think I’m just going to give her the full oz :)

The latest candidate for iced tea sipdowns! I’m not a fan of this tea; it has rose in it, and far too much going on. And not enough oolong. But, it makes an okay iced tea. At least, my husband thinks so. So that’s where it’s headed!

AJRimmer

Yeah I always wished there were more strawberry and less rose in this one.

Agreed!

Yuck. Very floral, very artificial, and very sweet. It does have an absolutely lovely bouquet and color. However, it really didn’t have any true tea flavor. I will say that it does actually have a lot of flavor – I tend to need a strongly flavored tea and am very critical of those that are just boiled water with a thought of flavor. However, this is a jumble of too many different flavors, and just too artificial and too floral. I have used it in combination with their peach tea at about a 1:4 ratio, and am working on using it up that way, but it’s just not my thing.

I got a heap of this tea for Christmas along with the tea tin and beautiful travel mug:

I think if I love artificial flavoured teas I’d probably be raving about this one. It certainly does smell and look delicious. The dry mixture is sooo pretty. Loads of fruit & rose buds in there. The oolong is a bit hard to find.

Brewed up it does taste strawberry & rose. I couldn’t get much oolong taste in it but I think it was mostly just meant as a base to give it some body. Yes, the strawberry flavour is somewhat artificial but there are actual strawberry pieces in there (along with apple, pineapple, tangerine, peach, grapes, grapefruit, rhubarb). The artificial flavouring is not too strong and I could definitely pick out the citrus and grape with the other fruits. The rose petals mixed in with it all giving it a natural rose aroma.

Did I love it? I don’t really know. It was a bit strange for me. Fruity and floral at the same time. I would have liked more oolong , less artificial flavour but overall it’s pretty good. It seems like one of those teas that would be amazing iced.

The tea tin and travel mug are sooo pretty.

This was one of the first loose-leaf teas I ever tried and one of a handful of Teavana blends I still enjoy. You could totally use this tea as potpourri…the combination of rose and strawberry smells amazing! I’m not a huge fan of floral flavors in general, but the rose in this tea provides a nice compliment to the strawberry flavor by keeping it from becoming sickeningly sweet. And unlike other fruit teas I’ve had from Teavana, this has actual tea leaves in it, which give the tea a nice silky mouth feel.

This was one of my first teas too! I still love it!

Me, too! Tavern was my gateway tea.

I was just sniffing some Youthberry today. I didn’t want to drink it… I just wanted to smell it. I’ll save drinking it for a sunny, shiny day.

Inkling

Ooo, I like Youthberry too! :)

This is my absolute favorite Teavana tea – it is the perfect combination of fruity and floral. The strawberry is what I taste first and the floral taste is what lingers, I prefer this tea slightly sweetened and iced.

Backlog from Sunday morning. I went to see my husband this past weekend, and since whenever I take a trip I always devote about half my suitcase to tea and its accoutrements, I had plenty to choose from. We had one with breakfast, and then we steeped this one up to have while we packed up the hotel room. I wanted to review it again because this was the first time I’d actually managed to taste the “champagne” notes. We didn’t have access to much sugar, but we each added about 1/2 a teaspoon, and it was nonetheless quite enjoyable, with the strawberry still making itself known in the background. I usually find that fruit flavors need sweetening before they really taste like themselves, but this time was an exception. I’m impressed.
