I love it and I hate that I love it. It is like candy water with bits of tea in it. Man is it great tasting. The sample pack’s #1 ingredient is sugar, so after you buy some you need to add sugar to get it tasting like you want it.

The fact that I managed to receive 2 oz. of this tea as a free sample justifies the pain it is to pick out the rock sugar(after discerning what exactly the rock sugar looks like against the dried fruit pieces). I find this tea light and refreshing and look forward to trying it iced. Although it is enjoyable, I can’t exactly justify the surely highly inflated cost this tea is sold for.

I received this as a sample with my teavana order. I’m new to tea, and I have been sticking to basic blacks. I did not enjoy this tea at all. It smell nice, almost like cider. I did not like the spicy/peppery taste. I will save it for a few months from now as my tastes develop more and try it again.

Not actually a big fan of this blend, but I’m also not a big fan of spice either. The Maharaja Chai is well known to be one of the spiciest chais in the Teavana loose leaf line, so it lives up to it’s expectations even if it’s not my cup of tea.
Upon request, I brought some of the blend up to my room mate’s Thanksgiving dinner where it was a big hit when served with pumpkin pie.

I find this a really nice tea for Autumn. It’s a twist on Chai, and many people who prefer very traditional Chai only may not like it. It’s good once in a while, but it can be a bit too sweet for me sometimes, even though I’m not brewing from one of the samples with added rock sugar.

I reviewed a different tea thinking it was this one because it also has the samurai chai mate. Anyway, this is a really good chai blend. The smell of the tea itself is really nice and spicy and the flavor matches up. I typically just add sugar, adding milk gives a slight cocoa finish to the tea.

My first endeavor into loose leaf tea. Tried it in the Teavana store and liked it. Since this was my first, I’m not ready to give it outstanding marks but I really enjoyed it.

This tasted better in the store.

Teavana had this sample outside their store. It was so sweet & cinnamony! I went right in and bought it. However every time i make it at home (in many different ways) it seems to taste very watery and no where near what i tasted at the store :(

I received this blend as a free sample in my order, and although I enjoy it, I feel like the spices are too overpowering. Even though I love adding cinnamon to certain tea blends, it was a bit too much this time around. I can just barely taste some of the other flavors in this brew, some of which I would have liked to been a little more prominent. Heck, when I first steeped it, I couldn’t even taste the rock sugar. It wasn’t sweet in the slightest. Maybe my taste buds are broken?

Overall, not a bad tea, but it needs to cut back on the cinnamon so some of the other flavors can come out of hiding.
