Thank you Sandy Stith for my sample!
Okay so this is like a good mystery.
Is this a chai?
Is this a fruit blend?
Wait … I taste something savory!
What on earth IS this stuff?
I swear I taste tomato, basil, olive, fruit berries, and chai spices.
I am falling in love with this unusual and bizarre blend that I can’t find anywhere on the Teavana site – although honestly I didn’t look THAT hard as I would rather enjoy this amazing tea.
Each sip unveils a new flavor, just now, sweet cinnamon, now black olive, now some berry flavor. Strange mysterious brew.

I love the combination, too. It’s two teas mixed together…Assam Gold Rain and Assam Breeze.

Azzrian

I could not find either of those on the site as well. I figured it was a blend of two … so what exactly IS it lol I did see orange bits in the steeped basket :)

Azzrian

Oh wait I found one of them here on Steepster duah .. I think earlier the site was not working well when I tried to look. SIGH time for some wake up tea!

Missy

I think it’s what ever the Steepster overlords are doing. I tried to add a tea today because it wouldn’t show up in a search. A very specific search since Upton labels their teas with that alphanumeric system.

Its frustrating – I can’t get so many pages to load- can’t seem to do reviews ugggggg but I got here :)

I’m having a hella hard time posting today, too…and just moving between screens. It’s lagging like crazy.

Missy

I got the steepster is down for maintenance several times today. Maybe we will get a new feature soon, like kill the red box poking me in the eye button.

Kashyap

over the last year, many of the Assam tea I’ve had have expressed a ‘stewed tomato, basil, sun-dried tomato, squash’ profile…in talking with tea farmers in the region they have mentioned rainfall considerations over the last year or so affecting the flavors….but very curious indeed…
