From Teavana

Citrusy orange, sweet pineapple and delicious apples complement and soften to a smooth perfection with luscious lavender, sage and sea buckthorn.

Zesty sea buckthorn, pineapple & orange with lavender & sage.

Use 1.5-2 tsp of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to just at boiling (208 degrees/98 degrees Celsius) and steep for 5-6 minutes. For stronger flavor, use more tea leaves. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.

Ingredients: Apple pieces, candied pineapple pieces (pineapple, sugar, citric acid), sea buckthorn berries, citrus peels, orange juice pieces, natural and artificial flavoring, pineapple chips, citrus slices, apple slices, lavender blossoms, sage

Backlogging. This tastes pretty good with the citrus and the lavender that is not too overpowering and the sage. I wish It tasted more like pineapple. I haven’t drank enough yet to find out if its relaxing or not. This is pretty good though and I added some sugar.

This is not a tea that I would have purchased on my own based on the ingredients. I would have thought of this one as tangy heavily leaning toward sour. Sage and lavender put to mind vision’s of relaxing spa’s. However, a member on Steepster wanted to try it, and they didn’t have easy access to Teavana, so I had no issues picking this one up for a tea swap. I figured it would be a new tea experience.

I am pleasantly surprised at how tasty this tea is!! The citrus is evident, but not overpoweringly tangy. I get a lovely herbaceous flavour – I guess that’s the sage. Not sure I taste lavender, but that’s ok…is delicious.

This tea can handle a second steeping very well. Flavours are still evident.

I liked this one… the sage made it pretty spicy.. and the teaspoon I used I think had a lot of lavender in it because it cooled the spicyness down… nice!

Lala

I was also pleasantly surprised with this one. I didn’t think this flavour combination would work, but it did.

I just had this for the first time last night! I really loved how the sage worked with the citrus!

I swear, I didn’t think I would like this when I first bought it. Because really… Citrus, lavender and sage? But it’s actually really good. The citrus is a bright counterpoint to the more herby lavender and sage. I’m drinking it iced right now with some dehydrated raspberries, oranges and strawberries thrown in, and it’s just to die for.

I got this for Valentine’s Day and I love it. I will admit that just by looking at the name of this tisane, I thought there’d be too much going on. I am happy to have been wrong: the flavors of citrus and pineapple and lavender and sage = pure deliciousness. Imagine if a fairy lived on a tropical island: this is what she’d drink in the evenings.

I decided that this one would be good when you’re sick. I am DEFINITELY sick! I woe up in a mad, cranky rush this morning with no time to process it. Then once I was at work I felt terrible. I really have zero tastebuds right now. I put some honey in here and I can taste citrus.

Another tea from my swap with scribbles, she’s been very generous.

I’m usually pretty hard on teas with citrus in them and even harder on teas with sage in them. This was a pleasant surprise, while it isn’t going to be a favorite of mine, it is the first tea with sage that I haven’t hated on site. This is probably because the sage doesn’t completely dominate and instead there is a strong citrus flavor as well as a hint of lavender. I’ll admit, I did raise my eyebrows a bit at this combination, but it actually works well together. I had this sweetened and over ice rather than hot and I think it works well as an iced tea.

I didn’t love this tea. It was alright, it wasn’t undrinkable. However, the sage and lavender were both a lot stronger than I thought they were going to be. I found that the fruit flavour was primarily left to play back up to the other flavours. If you like a more spice based of floral based tea, this might really hit the spot, for me, I prefer teas with a heavier slant towards the fruit side of things.

I am glad I tried this tea, but I am not sure it really is for me!

Jake and I made the trek into Teavana this evening and this is one of the teas we sampled. It had been on my list of things to try, and I’m glad I did. It’s an interesting mix, and would be a nice afternoon sip with a book in hand. The sage had an interesting presence in the tea, but in a surprisingly good and complex way.

I was shocked, however, at the look of the tea in the tin – it looks like a rather dirty, dried out fruit salad that was made by someone too lazy to cut everything up! I truly don’t know if I have any steeping accessories big enough to handle more than one of the orange wedges, so I had to pass.
