  • “Tried this one hot again. I’m still not sold. I think it really is better iced. I’ll save it for warmer weather. Drinking it hot reminds me of Theraflu. Not hating on Theraflu, but that’s not what...” Read full tasting note

From Teavana

A Japanese twist on the lemonade stand, this pale hibiscus pink blush is ripened to perfection with heart notes of citrus combined with sweet ginger. Ice cubes make this a cool refreshing lemon-ginger green tea summer treat.

A delicious blend of orange and lemon citrus with hints of ginger. (Above by CHAroma)

Ingredients from the label: Green tea, apple pieces, citrus pieces, ginger, hibiscus flowers, flavoring, orange juice bits. (By SJBP)

On it’s own, I am not a fan at all. I found that blending this with a lighter, plain green tea (ie: Teavana’s Dragonwell) makes it a little more drinkable. On it’s own, it felt like I was drinking a citrus version of Mr. Clean. I will only drink this one (with the added green tea, of course) when I am sick with either a cold or bronchitis with a bit of raw honey, a thin slice of fresh lemon and two little slices of fresh ginger. Sounds like a lot of work, but it totally does the trick.

This is a very interesting take on lemonade, as the ginger gives the juicy citrus flavors a light spice.

Hot, it’s a satisfactory tea, but it would seem much better cold, as it seems meant to be a more iced tea lemonade.

This was actually a nice tea. I wasn’t expecting it to be – teavana just doesn’t do tea the way I like (or I have chosen poorly).

The green tea was barely present, but the citrus and ginger was vibrantly so. Although the smell was almost too citrusy, the taste was quite acceptable. If you are looking for a strongly flavored cup, this one’s for you.

A pretty tasty tea, but I am finding that a really prefer either straight teas or very mildly flavored teas, and this had too much other flavor to really become a favorite of mine. I’ll enjoy it, but these 2oz are probably going to last me quite a while since this couldn’t be a daily tea for me.
