From TeaSource

Notice the gold color, straight lines, and perfectly undisturbed downy buds. This is fine art worthy of adulation. The flavor is intense – unripened fruit and the malt of German doppelbock.

This Yunnan black tea was produced in early spring 2020 by Mr. Du Yong Gang using the Feng Qing Big Leaf cultivar. Feng means “phoenix” and Qing means “celebration”. In 1938, a tea professor named Mr. Feng Shao Qiu came to the area and made the first black tea in Yunnan. From then on, the city of Feng Qing became the center of Yunnan black tea. People in the city still celebrate the arrival of the mythical Phoenix bird, an emblem of good fortune, that brought them the tea seeds.
