This fruity and aromatic black tea blend is made with actual freeze-dried blueberries. It steeps up medium-bodied, a little sweet, and makes you think of summertime. This black tea also makes a wonderfully refreshing iced tea!

Blueberry Fields has helped numerous people break the Diet Pepsi in the morning habit. Throw some leaves in a pitcher, add tap water, and put it in the fridge overnight. In the morning, strain the leaves and you have a pitcher of great fruity iced black tea to help you make it through the day.

Ingredients: Chinese black tea, aronia berries, blue mallow blossom, flavor, blueberries, freeze-dried blueberries

Suggested Steeping Instruction: Use 1 heaping tsp (3 grams) per 8oz boiling water. Steep 2-4 min.

It really does taste like blueberries. More of blueberry flavored things.

June Wedding! Time for something blue! TeaSource’s Blueberry Fields tea has blue mallow blossoms and freeze-dried blueberries, so this will fit the bill quite nicely. The dry leaf has a very sweet blueberry scent, that reminds me of blueberry syrup for pancakes and waffles. The tea steeps up to a very naturally sweet medium black tea, with a nice blueberry flavor. The tea really doesn’t need any sweetening, but a tiny dash of sugar brings out the berry just a bit more.

While this is a fine warm cuppa, I prefer this as an iced tea, just because of the strong fruity flavor to the cup. I don’t really like how black teas cold steep, so I like to prepare a thick hot steep concentration (usually 4 teaspoons of tea in 2 cups water, steeped for five minutes) which I then mix with 2 cups cold water and then chill in the fridge overnight. It makes a really nice, refreshing, fruity sweet iced tea. I usually don’t even sweeten it, because the blueberry flavor is so naturally sweet on its own, but if I feel up to a really sweet iced tea batch, sometimes I add liquid sugar or top with frozen blueberries. Yum!

Teeny Tiny TTB Round 2

Hooray, I got the box! And there are actually quite a few things I want to try, which is awesome. I’ve actually heard really good things about this tea, though for some reason it has barely any reviews, and a low rating? Weird. The leaves look nice enough, they’re black and quite thick and curly. There are a few blue flower buds mixed in as well. Dry scent is sweet blueberry jam.

Mm, the steeped tea smells very blueberry, and it’s actually quite convincing too. There’s that deep sweetness but also a little hint of tart that makes me picture fresh blueberries instead of jam. Hm, this is way too light on the blueberry for me. If I drink a blueberry-flavored tea, I want it to taste like blueberry. It mostly tastes like a somewhat woody base tea with a little bit of blueberry and a touch of floral. Meh!

This is a beautiful tea! Nice unbroken black tea leaves with cornflower petals and dried blueberries. And the dry leaf smells AMAZING…after I opened it, I kept going around shoving it under family member’s noses and demanding, “Doesn’t it smell just like blueberries?” The first time I tried it, I think I must have over-steeped it because it came out quite bitter. However, I gave it another try, and this time the taste almost lived up to the scent. A nice smooth, juicy blueberry flavor with a bit of richness from the base. I’m eager to try it iced as well!

I don’t much care for flavored teas, but this is very good as an iced tea. Especially when sweetened with honey.
