I moved away from black teas during the summer. Their flavor just no longer been interesting. But lately, I have a very nice Earl Grey, and this very nice Assam. Maybe it was the teas. Maybe it was the heat. Maybe it was Me.
But this is a very smooth, subtly favored Assam. I am surprised, and delighted.

I have been taking this to work with me for the last week and a half. It’s a great “wake the heck up and be productive” tea.

As far as taste, it is smokier and more astringent than a Ceylon tea, but it is not too bold. It’s fine with nothing added to it. I’m sure it could stand up to milk, but why bother?

A very good, smooth tea, and a hint of sugar complements it nicely.
