Sigh. Sadly, Indigobloom, you were kind of right about this one. It’s pretty tart initially, and after swallowing, the aftertaste is pretty perfumily floral. Not as bad as rose teas though (ick!!!!) So although drinkable, it’s definitely not a tea I’d pick up again. Especially after Fruity Ginger…..

(Cold-brewed 7g of the tisane in 2 cups of water overnight.)

Iced 8 min or more

cherry FAIL :/

Yep. DavidsTea’s Cherry Potion is much better (but a whopping 3x the price or so). One day someone will nail the cherry flavour in a reasonably priced tisane!

Indigobloom

A little! I’ve tried both… didn’t much like either. Oh well can’t win them all!

I’ve tried this iced and hot now. Neither one impresses me :(
Too much floral going on there, whew! it’s like drinking cherry perfume. Not that earthy sortof floral that I actually enjoy, more like when your buddies spray perfume in the air as a joke (behind you) so when ya turn around you somehow end up with a mouthful of it!! (this happened to me not long ago. Don’t worry I had my revenge! Smelling like a funeral parlor wasn’t much fun either so there was double trouble! ha!)
Anyhow, the floral overshadowed whatever cherry I was able to suss out. So glad I haven’t got any of this in my cupboard…

Kittenna

Uh oh! Just bought this one. Hopefully I disagree with you.

Indigobloom

Eeeep! Kristaleyn, I hope you like it! more than I did lol

Herbal tea koolaid! That is definitely what this tastes like. I made it hot and then iced it, and I made sure to add sugar given the hibiscus and rosehips. Still pretty tart, but since I’m not with any other kind of sweetener right now, it’ll have to do this way.

I like rose so the rosehips’ floral quality in here isn’t too bothersome. But it does taste more like I’m drinking a rosehip/hibiscus tea first and foremost with some cherry notes to it rather than something meant to be cherry flavored.

On the plus side, it doesn’t taste like cough syrup. I’d take this over cough syrup any day of the week. It’s actually quite tolerable for me for being based on hibiscus.

Thanks, Kittenna for the sample!

I have since gifted the rest of this to my roommate. Not my cuppa tea!

Well, the tea smells great in the bag. I’m pretty sure I got this one over the summer to ice, but I don’t think I was that impressed with it, because there’s still quite a bit left! I used the super cool random tea chooser thing (found a link in the forums!) and it suggested that I drink this one. So I’m trying it again.

It smells of apples and spice, and that weird cherry flavour you get from cherry blasters (yeah, IDK). I’ve had to add a fair bit of sugar to it as it’s really quite tart, and basically tastes like hibiscus when plain. After adding a lot (Well, for me. 1.5 tsp of honey to 8 oz of tea. Yikes!) of honey to it, it tastes like sweet hibiscus tea with a hint of apple and spice. I agree with other reviewers that say the aftertaste is kind of perfume-y and floral. Not really getting cherries out of this.

Definitely won’t be repurchasing, and I might not actually make it through the rest of the bag. (As I’m sipping, I’m not even going to get through the cup. Maybe more dilute and thinned with lemonade it’d be good, but I can’t be bothered.)

I waffle on this tea.

I really like passion tea from Tazo so I think that’s why this tea is ok to me – it’s full of hibiscus.

But, that’s also why I’m not always keen on the tea. It has an amazing cherry scent. I open the bag just to take a sniff once in awhile because it smells that good.

But I only brew it when I’m craving Passion tea because it has such a strong hibiscus flavor. I’ve tried brewing it for a shorter time. I’ve tried brewing it longer. Nothing seems to bring out the cherry more.

Maybe I should try it iced?

This is a great tea. Nice cherry flavour, and not bitter. Haven’t tried it iced yet, but I would guess it’s delicious.
