From Teaopia

This flavoured tea is made by using fresh jasmine petals in a multiple (aromatizing) process, produced by layering Green Tea leaves with jasmine petals. The ultimate flavour settles around the leaf during the process of drying. The distinctly beautiful aroma and taste of jasmine is infused in this tea and can be enjoyed any time of day.

Made a glorious pot of this for friends last night. I am REALLY fond of my new glass teapot! I do have to clean out the infuser by using floss, however, which took me a while to figure out.

Anyway, this is always a comforting classic. Fragrant, elegant, beautiful liquor.

One of my favourite flavours ever is Jasmine! I love the rice and floral aroma, and the genuine comfort that comes from drinking a nice simple clean green tea. Vegetal notes and citrusy, floral distinctive jasmine flavours! More bitter than most jasmine green teas I’ve had, but very well balanced nonetheless!

This was the better of two purchases from Teaopia (the other being peaches and cream oolong…blech). The jasmine and green tea round each other out quite nicely. If overbrewed, it takes on a slight soapy taste, but nothing that I found too offensive. I’m almost done 50g of this tea, and I can’t wait to try another variation!

My stomach was pretty unsettled this morning; there’s a stomach flu going around the town. Chose this one for my work tea today. I really appreciate the smoothness of the tea now, the smell relaxing too, and no bitterness despite three hours of my tea ball in the cup. I feel much better now. Somedays are just made for a basic green, and this was one of them.

I had no idea what the Jasmine would taste like and normally I don’t drink a lot of green tea but this was LOVELY. Upon smelling it was just like the one you are served at a Chinese restaurant. Upon tasting it was even nicer.

I was a big fan of this tea, and had a supply both at work and at home. I like strong tea, and just found this one a little stronger than other jasmine that I had tried. Sadly, Teaopia was sold to Teavana, (which was sold to Starbucks), and they don’t seem to be carrying this blend anymore.

I wanted to review it anyway, kind of a homage.

My first jasmine tea and it was a good exprience. The jasmine gives a nice subtle extra flavour to green tea. You have to watch to not over steep this tea. Not sure why but the last few cups did not taste as good as the first. I have since found better jasmine teas but I would buy this again.
