“Nice, honey, floral, roasty, nutty oolong. Has a deep distinct green earthen/soil-like flavor that lingers in a great way. Very smooth. Amazing in both first and second steeping.” Read full tasting note
The beloved Gui Fei Royal Oolong is in high demand with an extremely limited supply. Harvested in the winter, this tea was created by a group of young tea farmers in the year 2000 after the September earthquake. While attempting to rebuild their hometown, their tea bushes were neglected, which allowed the ‘tea leafhoppers’ to chomp away at the leaves. Once the leaves were finally picked and produced, the outcome was unexpected but much appreciated.
What was produced turned out to be an intense, aroma rich and complex crystal clear honey tea. The clover honey flavor is surrounded by wildflower notes and numerous brewings only refine the flavor to an even greater depth.
