From Tealux

Ying De is one of the very few Black teas to come from the Guangdong province of China.

Ying de tea has a sweet aftertaste, and a scent like cocoa. This lovely Ying De Black Tea goes also very well with milk, sugar or honey.

The leaves here are dark, dusty, long and thin. They smell bakey and sweet. I thought I may have overleafed, since there was about two teaspoons but it tastes even better than the cup I had before. After a four minute steep, the flavor is sweet, malty, bready, and a bit like sweet potatoes. I can’t really call it a dark flavor because it also seems medium bodied. It doesn’t get astringent and the second cup was just as good. It’s very good!

Since this is the last Tealux tea I have to review, I thought I’d make a list of all the better teas and their ratings from my order of a bunch of samples a while back:
Black Dragon Pearls (98)
Mate Java Espresso (95)
Sencha Berry Fig (94)
Maple Splash (94)
Pu-erh Cocoa Spice (93)
Milk Oolong Jin Xuan (93)
Canadian Dream Maple (90)
Un Momento (88)
Honey Pistachio Biscotti (85)
Pumpkin Spice Rooibos (82)
Acerola Cherry Potion (80)
..and this one! These are all the teas over 80 in about 20, so I guess the order was worth it!

Sounds tasty! I love the compiled list :)

I am trying so hard NOT to place a Tealux order. I’m out of a few of my favorites, but was trying to wait for a sale. You’ve now given me some new ones to try.

Love the list, great idea:-) I don’t have a compilation like yours to show for it, but I also like pretty much everything I’ve ordered from tealux, and that’s a lot of tea, I can promise you that!

I know.. I’d love to try many more of Tealux’s blends. They have such a huge variety. But it seems like I was the first to write tasting notes for so many of their teas.

Puerh cocoa spice….. yes! I will have to try the dragon pearls though. Maybe I didn’t see that when I did my last order? I think your order inspired mine, so between the two of us we will get some reviews up!
