From Tealish

A fresh and lively take on everyone’s favourite, Earl Grey. We’ve layered grapefruit over the classic bergamot flavour, making this brew bright, light and zesty. We’re sure the Earl would approve.

Brewing Instructions: To prepare a perfect cup of black tea, use 1 tsp loose leaf tea per 6-8oz of boiling water and steep 2-5 minutes.

YUM! This was a suprising treat! I went home to Ontario and one of my first objectives was to go to tealish. I studied the tea menu before I went and knew this was one I definitely wanted to smell, and taste!. As the girl brought the canister down and let me smell it, another customer was like omg that smells so good, I have to get it too. I ended up with 100g of this and 100g of the orange marzipan (my fave).. Unfortunately I was going to a concert so I didn’t want to carry loads of tea, so I didn’t get anything else. I will definitely be buying way more from this company as there hasn’t been a tea that has disapointed me there yet! This one is wonderful.. it is like regular early grey, kind of smoky, musky, and almost reminiscant of a good cigar.. layered with citrus, which enhances the flavour, and makes it quite distinctive. Usually people layer earl grey with berry, but doing it with grapefruit is so unique, and a wonderful taste :)

I was so excited to see this tea! There’s an Earl Grey Grapefruit that I had and loved, but I can’t remember if I’ve been too lazy to go get more, or if the company doesn’t carry it anymore.

Anyways, I got this one. So delicious.

I do occasionally love me an Earl Grey, and the addition of grapefruit is perfection.

I was ready to not be impressed by this. I’m not usually a fan of twee flavours of tea, but as it turns out, there’s nothing twee about Earl Greypfruit (in spite of the name). Earl Grey already has a strong citrus flavour; grapefruit instead of bergamot is a surprisingly perfect move. This tea is clean and very fresh-tasting, not bitter at all, not from the grapefruit, or from the tea. I got really into this tea about two years ago after sniffing it at the Tealish shop on Queen West, and I figured I’d get over it after a few months. I still drink a cup of it practically every morning. It’s perfect. I love it.
