From Teabox

A delicious spring flush oolong peaking with brisk nutty flavors. Savory notes of toasted nuts is palpable across the flavor profile of this tea.
The mouth attack is distinctly of toasted almond and hazelnut, present alongside rounding notes of tobacco and hay. The aftertaste is pleasantly sweet and lingers on the palate for the good haul. A perfect pick for a relaxing sip anytime of the day

A really wonderful oolong, one of my very favorites. The taste is complex and hard to pin down in just a few adjectives. I get notes of wood, clay, the slight bitterness of apple skins, the warm summer taste of dried hay… it’s all just rich and round and I love it a lot.

The steeped tea is a reddish amber, with scents of roasted nuts, fresh baked bread, autumn leaves, and sugar.

I have found the teas from Teabox to be all pretty much accurate in their descriptions and brewing parameters and this is another in that ilk. Soft with almond and hay flavors and an aftertaste that lingers well after sipping. The sweetness is what makes this tea stand a bit out on its own. It was part a sample box of 20+ oolongs. What I’ve learned so far is that I tend to use way too much tea and brew way too short. I guess you can get away with that with Chinese oolongs but it doesn’t do these justice, I’ll stick with Teabox’s parameters.
