From Teabox

A new offering at Darjeelingteaxpress from Seeyok plantation. The hale and hearty look of the tea with a jet black colour represents an excellent quality control in manufacturing in second flush. The deep red liquor colour reveales essence of fermented honey. A tea that can be brewed multiple times and leaves a strong after taste. If that’s not enough, it could also be used with a cup of milk to get that extra zing !

Established in 1869, the Seeyok Tea Estate is located in the Mirik Valley of Darjeeling with an elevation ranging from 1100 m to 1800 m above sea level. The estate has a gross area of 406 hectares with 154 hectares under cultivation. It is situated on the Indo Nepal border, facing the lovely Rongbong Valley, shaded by majestic Mount Kanchenjunga. Its green teas have a distinctive Darjeeling flavour.

Forays into Darjeeling, large sample order from Teabox. I followed the instruction on the bag and used a small teapot. Liqor was deep orange gold with aromas of what I thought marigold petals. the flavor of muscatel, lemon, honey all equally balanced but slightly muted, slight sweet and bitter not too noticeable. Seems to me to be a nice afternoon tea although I drank it post morning. One sample down 25+ to go.
