In my limited experience with Darjeeling’s, I really like this one. It has a nice, almost flowery after taste, while still maintaining the “Darjeeling Flavor” that I have noticed in all Darjeelings.
We at Tea Trekker really love the Darjeeling teas manufactured at the Thurbo gardens.
The 2010 2nd Flush Thurbo has finesse, polish and an abundance of bright, crisp Darjeeling raisin-y-ness. For tea lovers looking to expand their Darjeeling repertoire, the little-known but well-made Thurbo teas are a real treat for the palate.
Second flush Darjeelings are in a class by themselves, as they provide the crisp, clean flavor profile of the Darjeeling terroir, with a more-full-bodied style that all tea drinkers will appreciate and some prefer. Almost on the bridge between the first and second flush styles, this year’s Thurbo 2nd Flush tea is a real opportunity for the taste enthusiast to show off their steeping skills, as the tea performs well under varying times ‘in the water’ and no matter what quantity is being prepared.
