From Tea Runners

This unusual green oolong tea is plucked in the fall just before Nepal’s tea plants go dormant in mid-November. After plucking, the leaves are withered and rolled, creating these distinctive “half moon” pearls.

Half Moon Green Pearl Oolong is a complex tea with aromas of wild orchids and a nice fruity taste.

Brewed as directed for first cup and feel that the suggestion was to long a steep. It made for first cup that tasted rather green for a roasted Oolong with a faint hint of bitterness/sour. Using the same timing for the second steep produced a much more flavorful cup with the “brown” floral taste one expects from an Oolong of this type. A bit astringent and “dry” but tasty. These leaves are good for 4 steeps.
