Alishan Shizhuo Zhu-Lu high mountain Oolong tea is produced in Shizhuo in Chiayi county, and it was named by Vice-president Hsieh Tung-min in 1987.

Alishan Shizhuo Zhu-Lu high mountain Oolong tea, it was imported to Taiwan in 1980, the tea tree name call “Green Tip Oolong”. It’s the one of the best-known teas in Taiwan, considered one of the ten greatest Oolong teas in Taiwan, its main production areas is along Alishan Highway in Shizhuo tea areas, it’s the most distinctive and representative tea of Alishan high mountain Oolong teas, Shizhuo high mountain Oolong tea area mainly distributed over about 1200 to 1700 meters above the sea level in Alishan. It’s a one of the most excellent tea production areas in Taiwan. Alishan has a unique weather and geographical features, fertile soil containing rich organic material, its special geography makes the teas have special mountain flavor when you drink it. Alishan Shizhuo Zhu-Lu high mountain Oolong tea harvests the young shoot from the tea trees, to make this tea taste fresh and come with unique high mountain aroma only found in Alishan, and this particular aroma always makes tea lovers fascinated.
