From Tea Horse

A first flush FTGFOP1 grade black tea, picked in April 2013.

This tea has made a particularly impressive journey to reach our cups, starting at 6000 feet. The peaks of Kangchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world, look on as the tea leaves are picked by hand from biological (using no chemicals) tea bushes in some of the world’s most awe-inspiring scenery, and then transport, first by foot, to where the leaves are processed into the final tea.

This is a very delicate Darjeeling. It’s sweet, dry, musky and floral. Also very smooth and almost creamy. Also showing elements of wood, honey and misty.

A nice Darjeeling but it’s much too subtle for me, I prefer a darker Darjeeling. Though this did accompany my porridge well this morning.
