From Tea From Vietnam

It took Taiwanese scientists 30 years of hard work to develop this lovely oolong. Before the tea was given to farmers to cultivate in large scale, the scientists called it by a code name “Taiwanese oolong #12”. However, a common was needed when this new variety was approved to cultivated in large scale across Taiwan. The head scientist of this tea research group decided to name the tea ‘Jin Xuan’ or ‘Golden Lily’ after his grandmother, one of the two women that he admired the most beside his mother. Golden Lily has an elegant name so does the oolong itself.

Tasting Notes: floral (orchid/flower nectar), milky (condensed milk/ice-cream), nutty (rice/chestnut/green bean), vegetal (spinach/asparagus), creamy (custard/butter), sweet (sugarcane/caramel)

Recommended if you like: Taiwan Jin Xuan oolong, Yunnan Milk oolong

I was so excited when I got my box of teas from them! This is the first random one I pulled out from the batch that I got. The initial smell of it was divine! Drinking the tea, the feeling I got reflected the scent. It’s deliciously slightly caramel-ly and had delicate flora to the taste. A really good tea to relax with!
