A classic Darjeeling tea plucked from 100% pure china bushes of this wonderful organic plantation of Darjeeling, the dry leafs are very well sorted and has a very musky flavour in this state, when steeped for about 5 minutes the tea immediately gives out a very unique hint of dry fruits, each sip in the cup is extremely smooth with hints of ripe grapes, apricots and sandalwood and a typical Muscatel flavour that stays on the palate for a long time without any sort of bitterness or astringency.

Sandalwood!! that’s what I was missing. This was mostly a very smooth, drinkable Darjeeling… pretty standard. Except for that one piece I couldn’t identify. and now I know what it was!! huh. I need to try this again at a lower temp, see if it brings out the other parts more. I didn’t see much fruitiness or muscat. (el?)
By the third steep, it was still good, if not a little weak. I added some honey and it was perfection :)

I rarely resteep Darjeelings, because most of the time the astringency is too sharp for me. ://

really? I haven’t noticed that at all! but then that seems to be one of the things I lost with my health issues lately. (my ability to taste astringency)
