From Tea Embassy

Allow the smoky aroma of this Chinese black tea to penetrate your senses. Sir Winston Churchill is said to have been quite fond of Lapsang Souchong, mixing it with a bit of scotch! This famous tea is unmistakeable and reminscent of the Silk Road from Asia to Europe with the caravans and campfires making their way into the character of this tea.

Also makes a great cooking rub for chicken or a flavorful way to make rice with this tea to add a smoky taste.

A strong aroma, yet quite mild flavor. Smoky, to be sure, but not as “teethrattling” as other Lapsang Souchongs I have tried. An excellent tea for contemplation in the early morning chill as the rest of the world wakes.
