From Tea Dynasty

One of the Ten Most Famous Tea of China from Yellow Mountain of Anhui Province. Only a bud with a single unfolding leaf is plucked to produce the top grade Yellow Mountain Mao Feng. The tea leaves look like tongue of sparrow, covered with silver floss. The ivory bud and golden fish leaf is the particular characteristic of Yellow Mountain Mao Feng that differentiates from other Mao Feng teas. The tea is limpid and reveals light yellow color. The taste is fresh and mellow with pure aroma and long-lasting aftertaste.

This tea is very light both in aroma and taste (as far as the color goes, it’s actually somewhat dark, I’ve seen much lighter greens). This tea is kind of smoky and really mellow. It reminds me of smoked almonds or kippered herring (the smoke profile of course, it’s not fishy at all).
