I’ve never had anything quite like this, it’s absolutely wonderful. Mild chai flavour with the delicate scent and taste of apricots, I just love it! Can be resteeped at least once.

GCTTB DAY 3

I actually had this tea yesterday but I didn’t get a chance to write any notes for it. I remember that I really loved this tea. All the flavours were very balanced and harmonious. I actually was a little apprehensive because it’s labelled as a chai, and most chais tend to be too overpowering, smack-you-upside-the-head-with-spices to me. This one was very pleasant, the spices mild enough to allow for the apricot flavour and green tea base to come through nicely. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable evening cup! Another keeper. :)

I’m confused about how I should be drinking this – I would never add milk to a fruity green tea – I would never drink chai without it…. chose no milk
This is ok – it’s a nice mild fruity chai. The chai spices aren’t too intense – just a hint in the background – not sure that apricot is the fruity part, but for sure some fruit notes coming though. Not spectacular, but a nice tea on a cold morning.

Depending on how spicy it is, is should work as a chai with milk? I feel weird adding milk to green teas too yet my favourite chai is a green Kashmir one at a cafe in Edmonton. So go figure!

MissB

Oh gosh, you had to mention that Kashmir chai in Edmonton… so incredibly good.

I love the smell of this when I first opened it. It’s a pretty tea to look at. I’m surprised at how light the tea was after I steeped it. Light in color and flavor. Not a lot of apricot flavors but very fall, cinnamon, chai flavors.

Received from MissB. Haven’t enjoyed many chai teas in the past but I quite like this one! Made it a bit weaker than intended but I like it this way as the spices aren’t too overpowering.

Sipdown!! (195)

Thank you Roswell Strange for sending this my way. I was hesitant about this given the chai spices and though I am not loving that component of the cup, the apricot is AMAZING and makes me want to keep on sipping. It is sort of a weird experience because at the start of the sip, I find myself making a “blech” face because it is all peppercorns and chai spices but as I continue that gives way to an awesomely fresh apricot flavor that hangs out on your tongue for long after the sip is done. If only Tea Desire made a version of this that was just plain apricot because I could get behind that. However, sipping this now, I am enjoying the cup (at least partially) but I think I will pass the rest of the sample on to Kat_Maria as she might be able to appreciate this whole tea as opposed to merely elements of it.

Roswell Strange

Have you tried White Angel yet? I’m pretty sure I sent that to you. I think you’ll like it.

VariaTEA

I have not. Soon…

MissB

White Angel is amazing. This… I’m still trying to decide if I like it.

This one is a must try at least once!

I love the warm spice of Chai, but you rarely see it as a green tea, so I figured what the heck.

I’m not actually a fan of apricot or ginger but this was pretty yummy. Warm and spicy, but fruity undertones calming it down. The Apricot avoids letting the spice get overwhelming. But at the same time the Apricot doesn’t steal the show from the chai.

You want to make sure you don’t boil the water. I found that the chai didn’t hide the bitter flavour green tea gets if you burn them with boiling water. That attempt was just weird… spicy bitter blah.

But if made right super yummy!
