I swear Tazo has ben adding more and more sweetener to their bottled iced teas recently. I still enjoy the distinct but not overpowering taste of mint and the touch of lemon in this tea. It’s very refreshing and helps to clear my head.

It was perfectly fine before, so I don’t see why they felt the need to dump a tone of extra sugar in all of a sudden. >:(

Appealing to the general public, most likely. Bah.

Bah, I hope Adagio and all the other good-quality tea suppliers never sell out to the man, especially if this is the result. grumbles

takgoti

Grumble grumble grumble something about corporate bullshit. We need a front porch and some cans to throw at passers by.

Cofftea

I agree!!! It should say “sweet” or “sweetened” in the name if it is!

I tend to not like sugar either, but I did not notice it being sweeter or more-so. I was surprised to find it in database already since folks only review real teas. Perhaps you should try Numi Teas, I am certain it has no sugar the one I tried few weeks ago. It is on the bland side but good when not wanting sugar. Best.

A review Organic Iced Green by Tazo Tea

This is green tea with spearmint & lemongrass. It is an infusion of water, green tea, lemongrass, spearmint, lemon verbena and natural flavors, Cane, sugar and Citric Acid.

This tea is lovely as I had I poured it in a glass filled with iced to enjoy. This truly is a union of the spearmint and the lemony herbs. The spearmint gives it more zest and makes it more enjoyable.

I purchased this tea from a Wal-Mart store; they were selling them 2 for $1.00; now I wish I had purchased the two for one; instead of just one. Oh well.

Overall, Tazo is good tea brand. I enjoyed them last year while attending an Alzheimer lecture in Lexington, MA and I was happy to have spotted this brand as Iced tea. What I had then was a hot cup of tea.

I grabbed this in the airport to wash down the subway sandwhich I had for dinner last nite before my red eye flight. Green and white teas are my favorite and I knew iced tea would quench my thirst… I couldn’t easily (or more importantly PROPERLY) steep loose leaf hot tea anyway. I twisted the cap off, chugged about 1/4 the bottle, and IMMEDIATELY knew something wasn’t right… more specifically something was missing from the name of the tea. It should read “Organic Iced Sweet Green Tea”. I know some people would just rudely say “well it’s your own fault for not reading the label” (which I didn’t), but the real issue is that sweet tea and iced tea are two different things. This could get a diabetic or a gastric bypass patient in a whole lot of trouble. If you like sweetener (in this case sugar cane), this is a GREAT green tea flavored w/ spearmint, lemon grass, and lemon verbena. If you don’t (and I don’t), this isn’t the tea for you.

Well here in Canada iced tea is almost always sweetened, so that’s not a huge issue. But I still hate the AMOUNT of sugar that Starbucks unnecessarily dumps into their iced teas. They used to be a lot better than this.

I don’t have a problem w/ ordering tea @ SBUX anymore because I’ve learned (unfortuntely thru experience) to order it unsweetened, but IMO “iced tea” should be unsweetened by default- “sweet tea” is something completely different. This stuff was prebottled so I didn’t have that option.

I love this bottled tea. If I’m in a place that has it, there’s no other drink I will grab before this. Second runner up to this is MAYBE one of the less sweetened Honest Teas. But this is definitely king.

It is fairly sweetened, though. Not as tooth-curling as some of the Snapples, but not as mild as the Honest Teas.

Picked this up today for lunch. It’s a little too sweet for my taste and although I am usually a huge fan of mint in my tea, I did not like the spearmint undertones of it. I wasn’t expecting much from it though so it was pleasant for a one time try but I don’t think I’ll be getting it again any time soon.
