Hooray for the teapot
If you enjoy your tea made properly in a teapot, you’ll love the taste of Yorkshire Gold. When we set out to make this blend, we wanted to make the best tasting tea on the shelf. Inside this bag is tea from ten of the best tea gardens and estates in the world – malty Assams for richness and strength, high-grown Kenyan for body and balance, and top-class Rwandan tea for exceptional brightness and a lovely golden hue. If you love your tea, this is the blend for you.

I’m not a very adventurous tea drinker. I need my tea to kick me in the nuts and jolt me out of the morning stupor. Yorkshire Gold is great for that. Its got a little more depth than the non-Gold variety, and the loose-leaf is a vastly superior taste to the bag. With milk unless you are desperate – the tannins are just too much otherwise.

I can imagine a superior tea, I’ve tasted tea with more complexity and better balance of flavours, but I’m rating this high as it is good at what it does.

I finally decided to try this, having heard only good things about it. It’s great! And it really is cheaper loose than buying it in bags. Looks like I’ve found a new breakfast tea.

95% of the time, I love Yorkshire Gold (in bags). But do beware oversteeping. It turns bitter quickly. I’ve also had friends complain about the caffeine content, though it doesn’t bother me (and I’m normally very sensitive). I like having a box on hand.

Far better than tea bags, leaving the tea to brew in a properly warmed tea pot – end result is heaven.

I really like the strong flavour of this tea. It reminds me of coffee, although I’m not a coffee drinker (my coffee drinking hubbie says it tastes nothing like coffee). Best with sugar and a good amount of milk. Don’t steep for too long.

hm, I’m getting a bit sick of this tea. Over steeping by just 20 seconds makes me twitch.

I just set up my computer in my new house. Have been moving in the last few days so has been extremely stressful. Nice cup of Black tea to relax, good solid tea!
