From Taja Tea

Saffron & Mango Fusion Green Tea.

The only place I have seen this is at TJ Maxx as well. But it really does have a relaxing refreshing taste. I look for it every time I visit that store.

Thank you Jillian for trading for this tea. The blend of saffron and mango interested me too and it was something I really wanted to taste.

I have had this for a while and over that time had many cups of it so I was surprised to see that I have not yet reviewed it. Until now that is.

Steeping time and temperature as stated on the box (despite my distaste for boiling green tea) I have followed instructions exactly.

The liquid created is burnt orange in colour with a potent juicy mango fruit smell. The fruit is not as strong as the smell (unfortunately) and there is also a little sweetness with a slight bitter and perfumey taste.

In honesty it’s hard to detect anything special about this tea when it comes to pure flavour. It’s quite tasty for a bagged tea don’t get me wrong but it’s not quite what I had in mind.

I felt pretty much the same way about it. :/

I can’t say enough good things about this tea. Mild green tea with a hint of sweetness from the mango. It is difficult to find…I stumbled upon it at our local Persian market.

I tried the Taja Saffron and Mango Fusion Green Tea and it was delicious. I can’t find it anywhere. Any suggestions for ordering it online would be appreciated. Thanks.

CoconutGirl

I stumble upon this also; but can’t find it anywhere else. Any suggestion?

Hi there! I don’t have any information about where to find the tea – as I mentioned I found it at a local Persian market. Maybe you could call the company and see who is or where they are distributing it? Good luck!

I love this tea — delicious! Also, so much wonderful information out about the health benefits of saffron.. wonderful bonus.. I bought my TajaTea at TJ Maxx!

Hello everybody, I know my comments may come very late for many of you, but I was just recently made aware of Steepster and all the quests TajaTea, We at www.gourmet-food.com are selling TajaTea. You’re welcome to check it out.

I was attracted to this tea by how unusual it is – saffron is an expensive substance and rarely used in teas. Regardless of how much was actually in there, I was curious enough to give this a try. It has a nice fruity smell and if the tea doesn’t taste as fruity at least it doesn’t have that generic tropical fruit flavour either. There’s a hint of sweetness from the mango and a slightly bitter herbal flavour which might or might not be the saffron mixed with the green tea. It’s a pleasent combination that manages to be something other than the usual bagged fare.

This is the WORST tea I have ever had!! I am so upset that this company has ripped me off! I am very familiar with Saffron, and there is basically no saffron in this tea. The box is deceiving! No where on the package does it state the ingredients in the tea, all it does is teach you about saffron. I will follow up on this company, and I will demand my money back. In my opinion, half a strand of saffron mixed with cheap chamomile is NOT acceptable!!!! My fellow tea drinkers, If you really want to benefit your health by adding saffron to your diet, buy some good quality saffron and put a couple strands in your favourite tea. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY TOP DOLLAR FOR CHAMOMILE CRAP TEA!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP OFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!

Wow, all you have to say is I don’t like this tea. Slander is not a way to get your point across, many off us love this tea. Wish you would take this off and not hurt an innocent person trying to make a living. We are all human and should act like one!!!

marnell

Thank you for your opinion. I’ve tried it too, and not a hint of saffron. Didn’t taste bad, just no real benefit.

Can Steepster influence your tea purchases? Absolutely.
I was in TJ Max yesterday looking for some kitchen items for the Teahouse. Out of curiosity, having seen this tea mentioned on the discussion board, I checked to see if the Sonora TJ’s had some as well.

Because of Steepster, I was willing to try a bagged tea. Since becoming a tea merchant and being exposed to incredibly tasty loose tea, I have come to the conclusion that I would never want to drink bagged tea again.
If you want tea ‘fast’, bagged is the way to go. You can infuse in one minute, which is the way this tea tasted best to me.

It has a nice aroma, but the brew is a bit metallic to my taste.

Winners and HomeSense sell it but it goes fast because they sell it cheaper than other stores.

picked this up at TJ Maxx, both: saffron chamomile and the saffrom green tea mango type. Love both. Alleviated some acute anxiety on a couple occasions. My taste changes so much. I only like it if I need it. Green tea mango tastes better than the chamomile one.

Love this tea. Just wish I knew just how much saffron was really in there. Can’t find any of this kind of info anywhere!

There is no saffron in it. If there is any it’s a microscopic piece, enough to make it leagal for them to claim it’s “Saffron infused” This tea is 100% CRAP!!!!!!! The only thing I taste is cheap Chamomile. I’m a chef and I know when there is saffron in something. DON"T BUY IT!!!
