From Taiwan Tea Crafts

Right away we will state that this tea is not Taiwanese. It is from mainland China. But, before we apologize for this, we invite you to read our blog entry that explains in many pictures and words why this tea made it to our selection. Obviously, it would not be here if the quality and uniqueness of this Spring High Mountain Longjing were not exceptional. The high mountain terroir from which it was personally sourced is also of exceptional quality. Clean air, clean water from the mountains and clean soil can only be found in the remote high mountain areas of Zhejiang where this tea is sourced from villagers who’s lives revolve around hand crafting the purest Longjing teas. The tea we are proposing was purchased from the personal reserve of an experienced maker. It can be labelled as a pre-Qingming tea as it was picked and made from the very first tender shoots these semi wild bushes would reveal this Spring. The taste of this tea is as authentic as it can be! With clean vegetal notes that are so refreshing with a lovely sweet butter texture and nutty overtones that invite you to bite into the leaves after drinking steeping after steeping of the same leaves (you can definitely do so if you wish). This tea is pure, authentic, multi-dimensional, timeless and blissfully indescribable. This is a very special offer at prices that well below its true market value. Very limited stock.

This tea offers a pleasant balance of steamed green beans and roasted flavours in the first infusion, leaning more towards the former. In subsequent brews, the latter takes over to the almost total exclusion of the former. A good start but a disappointing finish.
