From T2

An infusion to soothe and ease a sensitive stomach. A peppermint base with earthy liquorice root, aromatic fennel and marigold petals produces a light and bright infusion. Fresh and minty flavours play with sweet liquorice to finish. A medium-bodied digestive with soothing flavour that doesn’t overwhelm.

Ingredients: Peppermint, liquorice root, fennel, marigold petals

Brewing Guide: 1 tsp per cup, 3-5 minutes steep time, 100 degree C (212 degree F) water

Came home from breakfast out feeling out of sorts. So I snagged this one out of the “to try” jar and settled in with some comfy sweats. I really like this one. It reminds me of one of the cold teas I also enjoy. I should compare the ingredient listings to see what exactly it is that I’m favoring. I’m suspecting it’s the fennel or the licorice. There is a minty flavor as well that is enjoyable. It’s a sweet tea and very smooth. I don’t have any illusions that it’s going to cure what ails me, but it’s definitely making me feel a bit happier.

Advent Day 19

The wrapper for this is amusing. It has in all caps “CONTAINS LICORICE” or however you spell licorice in Australia. Liquorice? It’s a minty licorice blend. It could be any one of a ton of minty licorice blends and doesn’t stand out in the crowd. It’s a nice cup, but it doesn’t have anything that sets it apart.

I’m not always a huge fan of digestive and minty teas, but this one is pleasant and family members of all ages adore it. It’s very pleasant after a meal or just by itself.

My second sipdown from the T2 herbal sampler. I actually woke up this morning with my stomach feeling a bit woozy, so I either have a headache coming on or ate something weird before bed that I no longer remember. With me, either is likely, heh.

This is a very minty tea, with a lot of sweet licorice root in the finish. To me it tastes just like TeaSource’s Margaret’s Soother tea, although it lacks the pizazz the clove adds to that blend. It is light and soothing and would work equally well on a sore throat with its combination of peppermint and licorice root, but for nausea, I think I’ll still reach for my peppermint/ginger blend. This blend tastes fine, but it doesn’t taste or do anything that I don’t already have covered by another tea blend, so ultimately it is a bit superfluous to me.

Lovely minty tea with a hint of liquorice root. Becomes sweeter the longer it is brewed.

This tea is great for digestion, headaches or after you’ve had a big meal and reaaaaaly want a tea but know you won’t be able to handle anything too heavy! I am not usually a liquorish root fan but mixed with the peppermint and fennel it works really nicely. I like to have this tea quite weak as I do find the recommended brew time of 4/5 minutes to be too overpowering. However, I know a lot of people who do enjoy its strength!

This tea is amazing for an upset tummy or even a headache. It has a beautiful flavour, peppermint with the licorice (which I tend to hate) is perfect and it has a very cool, sweet aftertaste.

Ermagawd this tea is so ahmazing! You get the hot tea taste at first, then you get a massive, cooling minty taste and feel in your mouth, and when you’ve swallowed it all, it has an amazing, sugary aftertaste from those calendula flowers! Argh it’s so complex and beautiful!!
