From T Kettle

A distinctive light cup that has hints of orchid-like flavour.

Otherwise known as Iron Goddess of Mercy, Tie Kwan Yin Oolong has been produced for generations. To make it, the leaf is allowed to remain on the bush slightly longer than those used for green teas and processed immediately, undergoing a semi-fermentation process that imparts an exceedingly delicate floral character. Have mercy.

Noticing a trend with some of the straight teas from T Kettle in that so far the overwhelming majority of them have been inoffensive but incredibly flat/bland without much life to them. This is definitely true here – no off notes to speak of, but the tea was so unremarkable that I just cannot remember what it tasted like. It’s almost as if they’re all just super old and stale…
