SIPDOWN! well basically since the last little bit of this is off to Kittenna to try at our tea swap meet :) Still enjoy this though i think it would be a nice summer cold drink moreso than a hot one.

Kittenna

Yay! I read “sip down” and then saw my name…. whew! If I’m saving Cashew Turtle for you….!! :P

Sil

Haha yeah, I’ve got the other better pear one too that I’m making sure to save some for you…wrote your name on it and everything :)

Kittenna

Awwww, yay! It’s a good thing I’ll be driving because it sounds like I’m bringing a crapton of tea, as usual. I wish I had a super-updated list of teas I have for you guys to rifle through and pick from, but that would be more effort than I have time for :’( (Or I could just bring my whole collection…. a couple rubbermaid bins???? BAHAHAHA.)

Sil

just toss a bunch of them into a box and throw it in the trunk grin I’m happy to spend part of the afternoon rifling through your boxes grin

Kittenna

You know… if there’s a place to park in the vicinity of your place, I may just toss a bunch of stuff in a box and bring it…

Sil

dude you’re parking just outside the steps to our apartment complex haha

Kittenna

Perfect! I’ve been to some places where parking is a giant PITA, so I was a bit worried we’d have like a 10-block walk or something (slight exaggeration).

Must remember to take a few pictures this time :)

Thanks go to Sil for this pear tea as well!!

As soon as this one finished brewing, I got super worried – the liquid in the mug definitely has that purple hibiscus tone to it. I hadn’t even considered that while brewing :( And oh no – I can smell barfy hibiscus in it too. Stupid me, not reading the ingredients (and they were RIGHT ON THE BAG.)

Thankfully, though I can smell the hibiscus a bit, it’s not overpowering in the flavour, so I can actually kind of taste the pear flavour and creaminess. It’s adding a bit of sour, but definitely isn’t ruining anything. Unfortunately, there’s not much to ruin to begin with; I am not really getting much pear from here. This mostly tastes like a fruity tea with a touch of hibiscus. Not bad at all, but not quite what I’m looking for either. Ah well. Still awesome to have tried (and now I can cross one more off my list!)

Oh, wow !

I had tried this one before, but a few nights ago I decided to put more tea for the same amount of water, just to see if it could improve the taste a bit… and it did ! Lots and lots of pear creaminess, amazing !

Right now, I’m having it iced… and I’m going crazy. This is too good to be true !

This tea was one of those tuition teas that taught me I don’t like fruity tisanes, and names are powerful! Didn’t taste like pear or cream to me. If the name had mentioned apples and flowers, I might have come in with different expectations. As it was, I expected something sweet and creamy, and what I got was watered down apple juice with some floral qualities. Not feeling it!

At any rate, I’m glad to see the end of my pouch.
