This did remind me of Thin Mints or York Peppermint Patties. The flavor is more mint than chocolate. But I don’t know what kind of oolong is supposed to be here. I like it though.

I absolutely love this. Tastes like a little piece of heaven for me. There’s even a bit of powder left in the wrapper, that if you lick the wrapper, tastes AMAZING. (I know I’m weird.)

Not really chocolatey, but minty and tasty.

I was really excited about this tea when I ordered a weight loss taster set online. I’ve tried a few chocolate tea over the past year however, this was the first with mint. As soon as i opened the pack I could smell the sweet smell of mint chocolate which proved promising, the flavor of the tea was good; the oolong worked well, the mint was powerful but sweet and the chocolate although just a hint was really nice. With a little agave this satisfied my sweet tooth.

(This is from last night, so I actually had kind of a Stash day yesterday!)

This tea is a hit in my household! I really love how the flavours complement each other in this one. When we made it for supper this time, though, with one bag in a large pot, the chocolate and mint flavours came out but the oolong was a bit subdued. There’s more balance when you steep as instructed. Overall, though, another winner from Stash!

Ok, as always I find stash teas too weak.
That aside choc-mint is a good tea. Make a small cup, leave the tea bag and be a bit heavy handed on the milk = a decent chocolate mint treat. :)

Opening the envelope, taking out the bag, is like removing the lid of a box of chocolates. Hmmm…. haven’t tried this with milk before…. “More calcium!” I think, as I splash soymilk into my steaming cup. It turns out to be just as good, maybe even better, than without.

My bag looks different than the one pictured. Brown with a mint green stripe. I am going to try not to be subjective because I usually avoid tea bags. But it is hard. For one, I do not feel that oolong belongs in a tea bag. If it is in a tea bag it is because it must be a lower grade. Despite that, this is decent. Though the main flavor is peppermint. I also taste the chocolate which reminds me of the chocolate used in Andes Mints. But it also leaves a kinda meh note in the finish. Sawdust and dusty shelves.

I guess this is technically a sipdown, and I could technically count it under the “chocolate tea” prompt for the monthly challenge, but I only had a single bag from a TTB, so it seems disingenuous to count it!

Anyway, I’m a sucker for any chocolate-mint combo, and this bag smells divine! Brewed, it’s definitely more mint than chocolate, but it does have a hint of cocoa to boost the mint and give it some body. I added a bit of Not Milk (that’s the brand; my current fave alt milk!) and now it’s super creamy and delicious. There is no discernible oolong to my palate, but the overall effect of the base tea is perfectly fine.

I’ve had a sore throat for a few days and this is helping. For a bagged tea, it’s more than serviceable.

Flavors: Cocoa, Dark Chocolate, Peppermint

A sipdown’s a sipdown, no matter how small! :P

I don’t get a lot of chocolate from this, but I taste some herbal mint and a little something else, maybe more like white chocolate. There’s something about it that I don’t love, possibly the oolong base, but it’s all right. It reminds me of a less gross version of S&V’s white chocolate mint tea. Thanks tea-and-cats! I think this is my last sample from our Christmas swap!

Uh oh, I just ordered the Simpson & Vail white chocolate peppermint tea, ha ha! Hopefully it doesn’t taste like potato skins to me! XD

Ha other people seem to like it, so hopefully you do too!

If not, I’ll have plenty of other teas to console myself with! :P
