there’s another entry for this tea in here:
http://steepster.com/teas/stash-tea-company/838-decaf-pumpkin-spice

that said,
this is the first stash tea that i officially like! thank you Kasumi for the sample :)

i tastes like a light chai and it is perfect coz i just had a super strong assam earlier which surprised me (the assam) but was able to recover from it by preparing my heart and mixing it with some milk ;)

back to this pumpkin spice –
altho it is light, it has this bite toward the end that is not at all unpleasant…but fitting for a chai! it rounds up the overall taste making it a good tea for me :)

for those who find it too light may add some of that strong assam that surprised me earlier :P

try as i might, i could not find any pumpkin notes in it. so if you are cinderella, you might be a little disappointed ^^

This is a favorite of mine since I love pumpkin pie. pumpkin pie in a cup with a small touch of half and half to add a creaminess to it. steep for a short time so it does not become bitter. I sweeten with sugar but I bet brown sugar would be even better. Note to myself to try it that way.

This is one of my favorite teas of all time. It definitely has the pumpkin pie flavor going on. Adding some heavy cream or whipped cream or even coconut milk makes it positively yummy. I’ve never tried any other pumpkin spice teas to compare it to (mostly because others aren’t decaf), but I dare to say that you won’t find a much better one than this. Good luck locating it, though. Amazon does have 6 boxes for $17, but LuckyVitamin when they have it in stock has single boxes. Other than that, I haven’t really been able to find it.

A great blend of all the pumpkin spice flavors without being too much – and it’s decaf, which is good for afternoon tea time.

How so you say hello to fellow tea lovers you’ve lost touch with over the last 4.5 years?! Let me start by saying I still am a Tea Fanatic, and continue to drink all kinds of tea every day! I also have been into Craft Beer, and drink the occasional cup of coffee! In July 2012, when I last posted, I had no intention of leaving Steepster, but after a Summer & Fall with my Niece Brie, I lost touch. Through many good times and some not so good, life went on as life always does. In late December after a trying year, I decided to get back to reviewing teas, because it’s just one thing I enjoy! :D

The last several years, as the Holiday Season ends, I extend my Holiday tea consumption with those special teas through the second Monday in January. This is also the the last College football game for the season-The National Championship! I know it’s Tuesday, but I wanted to review this tea. So the easiest way to do this, and without further ado, is to begin the tea review! :D

Ingredients:

Decaffeinated black tea, cinnamon, ginger root, natural pumpkin spice flavor, clove, nutmeg oil.

Let me start by saying I do not drink many decaffeinated teas, because 99%+ are very bland IMHO. This tea is one exception, and even though I can’t really taste much of the black tea base, the additional flavors, make for a satisfying cup of tea!

The dry teabag smells mainly of clove ginger, and pumpkin spice. The wet leaves in the bag reveal more clove & pumpkin spice, but what really surprised me was the cinnamon! The cinnamon with its sweet, spicy character really came to the forefront. In the cup the scents were not as intense, but cinnamon and pumpkin spice—and to a lesser extent—the ginger & clove had a very calming effect on me. :D My palate enjoyed the cinnamon and pumpkin spice flavors. Upon swishing & swirling the tea, ginger and clove awoke from their slumber only to cling & reside on the back of my tongue! Maybe it’s my lack of exposure to nutmeg in tea, but I really had trouble isolating it in relation to the other flavors.

This Pumpkin Spice blend is quite flavorful, and worth a try. It is a perfect tea to sip and share on Steepster with my tea friends, and a great way to say “Hello!” after a long hiatus—too long in fact! This tea says: “Come In!”, “Welcome!”, as it warms my heart, and I feel as if I’ve not been away very long at all. :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! :D

Welcome back!

I’m really glad you came back on here. I think I came upon your reviews with the one on Red Rose and I just thought you wrote very well and sounded like a nice guy. It’s definitely been a rough year for me as well. Tea can help at times with its warmth or to share with others. Some times I just look forward to a cup when I get home from work to relax a little. I like craft beer as well, and used to drink coffee also. My stomach isn’t able to handle it very well anymore though.
This tea sounds nice, especially at this time of year. Hope your new year is better!

Thanks QC!! All the best to you too! :D

Backlog 12/23/16

A coworker gave me two bags of this for Christmas because he knew that I like tea, and that I drank it often at work. He thought that I’d like anything, so he randomly snagged a box of tea from his house and handed it to me. To be nice, I went ahead and made a cup to show my gratitude.

However, I didn’t like it.

At all.

It was extremely bland, with a hint of some spice (nutmeg? cinnamon?) and that bagged tea taste (paper covered in dust?). I allowed it to cool, threw it out, and went back to puerh. Fortunately, there were only two bags remaining the box he gave me; so I felt that it was alright to have dumped the remaining liquid out, considering it may have been a tea he either loved or didn’t.

The world may never know.

It can get strong very fast, so don’t over-steep. But it’s got a very nice autumny, spicy taste!

I think this is a sipdown of an older tea. Hopefully I don’t have yet more teabags stashed in other purses.

I really want to like this tea, but because I bought a box (25 ct I think?) I’m really sick of it. Also, it is bitter. Therefore, it is not drinkable unless you have soy milk on hand which I only do at home and not on campus (then I’d have to pay). I find it difficult to finish off flavoured black teas that go well with milk because I spend most of my time out of the house with only hottish or cold water.

Anyway, it tastes like pumpkin spice: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. The bitterness and tanicity is off-putting. There is a natural sweetness and warmth from the spices.

Flavors: Bitter, Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg, Tannic
