A blend of Indian green tea and sweet spices, with a lingering scent of almond. Brew it up strong with milk and sugar.
Ingredients: green tea, cinnamon, clove, ginger root, allspice, natural cinnamon flavor, natural clove flavor, natural almond flavor, natural cardamom flavor
Steeping Instructions: 1-3 minutes at 170-190 degrees Fahrenheit

This is another loose tea that I ordered from Stash, during their sale. Green tea with chai spices and almonds was appealing. The dry aroma is fantastic, with cinnamon and clove being the obvious spices.
This is a light tasting chai, as the spices fade after brewing. I can still taste the green tea (which is good), and cinnamon is the dominant spice, with clove being very noticeable as well. Aftertaste is clove (which I like a lot). If anyone has ever had Beeman’s Clove gum (think it’s still around, here and there), that’s the aftertaste. Not noticing the almonds…
While I usually like heavier spices in a chai, this is a very good milder version, which I can see a place for in my cupboard. Added tbs. of honey, so it’s on the sweet side. Yum.
With all the loose leaf teas I have I sometimes forget to use my bagged teas. This is one of my favorites from back when I was just starting to get into tea four years ago. I decided I needed some extra strong spice today so I grabbed two bags of this and plopped them into my tetsubin.
Before the milk and sugar the liquor was lovely bright honey-gold. The first sip was a tad bitter so I added more sugar. Mmmmmmmmmmm! Silky. Smooth. Sweet. Spicy. A touch of almond. So smooth. A little biscuity. A slight dryness but not unpleasantly so. Did I mention smooth?
Why oh why didst I forsake thee oh lovely tea!? You may reside in a little baggy but you are my perfection in a cup!
I was enjoying this tea so much in fact that I nearly forgot about the banana bread I was also having at the time!
