From Stash Tea

Pleasantly sweet and tart at the same time, Strawberry Pomegranate Herbal Tea is a delightful addition to your tea collection. Its refreshing flavor is naturally uplifting — no need for caffeine here. This blend also includes antioxidant-rich rooibos, known as red tea. Delicious hot or iced.

The other girl (Cody) from my loose leaf crash course wanted to make a bagged tea too, just in case she didn’t like the loose leaf (I told her it’d be a little earthy), so this is what she chose out of the assortment of Stash teabags I brought in for everyone.

She split the mug of this with me after trying the Brasiliano and admitting it was really tasty. This was pretty good too though (as always, more strawberry than pomegranate). I’ve noted favourite tastes of my coworkers, and it looks like I need to bring in some straight greens, fruity things, Chai, and mint! Can do on all fronts!

Having this while at a friend’s house helping to set up their DVR. I was a little suspicious – the good ole hibiscus pretty prominant in the ingredient list. The taste is rooibos upfront, with a hint of strawberry and a smack of hibiscus. That said, it’s not very well balanced and I’m actually not enjoying it that much. I think I’m getting a hint of that woody flavour that so many get from rooibos. Makes my mouth feel dry. Of course, this isn’t what I was looking for flavour-wise at all, so that could explain it too.

I think this is my last bag. “Think” because I have stashes of tea everywhere (work, purses, home, friends’ houses) so that I’ll never be without tea. Hi, my name’s Jaime, and I have a tea addiction. :-P

I’m rather sad to see this one go. I had this iced today, and was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was. This could definitely be making another appearance in my stash.

I cold brewed this last night, and I am not liking it :(

The roobios is very very woody and leaving a bad aftertaste after each sip. The first taste is a tangy strawberry, but it quickly changes to simply rooibos.

I had one bag and tried cold brewing to see if I could somehow avoid the hibiscus ( – and it worked, the brew is not sour at all! So that’s something I guess haha.

At first I wasn’t keen, but I think it might have been washing the taste of Merry Mint out of my mouth (bleurgh). It’s actually not that bad. I’ve had a lot better flavoured rooibos, but this is palatable and comes in a bag so Chris can manage to make it (he just goes to pieces around loose tea. Fr srs. It’s kinda sweet.)

Fruity flavour, not too tart, not too sweet, and the rooibos is still distinguishable rather than being completely buried under the fruit.

Better then I expected since pomegranate can get overdone very fast. I like the strawberry with the pomegranate. Milder flavor, I like to drink it in the evening after dinner. Caffeine free and also the fruity makes it feel like dessert.

Love this one! It’s sweet and creamy strawberry flavoured. Smells like those gelatin fruit snacks you get at the store though. Turns a pale pink with milk added.

Tea 4/6 from the fruit tea sampler I got off of amazon. I bought these teas with the intention of making pitchers of iced tea. For this tea, I stuck 1 tea bag in a 16 oz glass of water in the fridge for about 3-4 hours to cold brew.

The taste of this tea is mildly tart from the hibiscus with a bit of sweetness from the strawberry flavour. My husband swears he can taste a bit of floral in the mix, but I’m not 100% sure on that. The tea is not strong at all considering it’s a hibiscus tea. Overall it’s okay. Definitely like it better than the acai berry tea in the collection. I’ll prob use up the acai berry by mixing it with this tea. Otherwise, I don’t think I’ll repurchase this tea because it’s just okay and doesn’t wow me in any way.

Actually, I am Canadian :)

I actually make my iced tea different from the majority of people though: I just use caffeine free fruit teas and add no sugar. Most people who make iced tea do black tea and add a TON of sugar. I’m not looking for a caffeine buzz and a sugar high: I just want something a bit fruity and refreshing :)

I think this is the one I had. From the SSTTB1. :)

I cold steeped it last night, and it was actually pretty good! I didn’t realize it was a rooibos until I went to drink it. It’s not a terrible rooibos, but it’s not fantastic either. Somewhere in the middle. The strawberry flavour was very clean, and I could even tell it was supposed to be pomegranate. It was like… watered down juice. I guess I used to use 2-3 tea bags in the amount of water I used, but I only had one and wasn’t thinking. :)

I’d totally get it if I was in a pinch and it was on sale. Decent flavours, decent rooibos, a really refreshing cold steep. Win. But would I recommend it? Not unless bagged grocery store teas were your only option. (And not the FANCY teas MissB has been finding in Europe. More like the usual North American boring stuff… ;) )

OMGsrsly

In other news, I washed my Vanilla Comoro tin and it’s drying on the stove right now while I’m roasting some sweet potatoes. My house smells like vanilla and sweet potatoes. Wow.

MissB

Ha ha, I dunno how fancy some of it is (currently drinking a Blueberry muffin tea), but I hear you!

OMGsrsly

Fancy! New and different! :)

The flavor of this tea is definitely more subtle than the (very lovely) aroma, but it’s quite enjoyable. The strawberry is definitely the most obvious bit of it.
