From SpecialTeas

This delightfully flavored South African Green Rooibos quickly became a favorite here at SpecialTeas. And is rapidly becoming a best seller. Flavored with blue mallow blossoms, rhubarb pieces, and red currants, this green rooibos is a naturally sweet treat for the young and old.

Recommendations: Use 1 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water to a roaring boil; let steep for 5 min.

Ingredients: Green rooibos, flavoring, rose petals, blue mallow blossoms, rhubarb bits, red currants

Oh man! I was all ready to love this tea. But I don’t. I want to scrub my tongue with a rough towel. I got it because it was a green rooibos, which I’ve been wanting to try… and I figured berry was pretty safe. I’ve been saving this sample for a long time and just totally expected it to be lovely.

The tea leaves are green leafy with beautiful pinkish and blue flowers. It’s a beautiful golden/orangy color when brewed. The taste it kind of like a mango tea with roses and the scent is potpourri. bleah. So floral. No berry. H8.

So sorry! :(

It happens. I’m lucky it was a sample size. See, this is why you should be able to sample every tea before you buy more than a 1/2 oz. By all rights, this should have been tasty, but you never know.
