From Silk Road Teas

Red Leaf is a traditionally processed, sun-dried black tea from the tea-famous Feng Qing area of Yunnan Province. Leaf and bud are hand-plucked from the first flush of the harvest. The leaf is comparatively large and dark, speckled with gold buds,as is typical to native Yunnan blacks. Once cut, the leaves are sun-dried, locking in the natural aroma and preserving its malty and sweet flavors that yield light floral notes as well. Red Leaf will steep to a clear and rich red burgundy cup color. This lot was made to the classic style of Dian Hong mastered by the factory in 1958. This tea is to be enjoyed with meals or as a refresher as it is delicious!

Small batch processing. Tea plucked from bushes ranging in age from 50-70 years.

Original Feng Qing varietal from Qing Dynasty!

Layered taste, floral, malty and long-lasting.
