From Seven Cups

The most famous yellow tea in China. This Tribute Tea grows on a small island (Jun Shan) within Dong Ting Lake in Hunan Province. The climate and soil create a special sweet fruit aroma and lightly sugarcane taste. The small growing area and skill required to make this traditional tea results in only a small quantity produced yearly. Tea drinkers should be aware that much of the Jun Shan Yin Zhen on the market is actually processed as green tea. It is also common for tea producers to cultivate from tea bushes brought in from other provinces. Our Jun Shan Yin Zhen is processed using the traditional yellow tea methods, which takes at least 72 hours. In addition, only the local Qun Ti Zhong bush is used so you can appreciate the true quality of this unique yellow tea.
