From SBS Teas

This beverage is delicious hot or iced and is 99.8% Caffeine FREE

Chai is the word for tea on the Indian subcontinent and worldwide. In the west it generally means a spiced black tea made with milk. Popularly known as masala chai. We have taken the guess work and the time factor out of this ancient magical beverage. When you are in a rush and don’t have time to enjoy our other chai’s, this is a fabulous 2nd!

Ingredients:
Pure cane sugar, non-fat milk powder, non-dairy creamer (coconut oil, corn syrup solids, sodium caseinate a milk derivative, sodium citrate, mon-and diglycerides, salt, sodium aluminosilicate), natural tea powder (black tea, darjeeling), dutch cocoa, honey, natural spice blend of cinnamon, clove, cardamom, ginger and anise. Natural and artificial flavors, silicon dioxide (as an anti-caking agent), begetable gums, bourbon vanilla extract from Madagascar.

I was confused when I went to add this one; I thought perhaps the website had it’s information mixed up. The description also lists vanilla in this (non-vanilla) chai! But, the ingredients list on the package does say vanilla, so I guess the website is right.

It definitely does not have the smooth vanilla aftertaste of the vanilla chai I drank Tuesday, so if I was going to pick one I’d say that the vanilla instant is the better drink. This one is spicier, but also tastes more of artificial creamer.

Of SBS Tea’s instant chai, I like the apple best… unfortunately that one is on clearance. I guess she’s not going to reblend it. :-( Of the stuff in stock the vanilla is my favorite.
